During a recent town hall, Anderson Copper asked Trump about his musical taste. Here is what Mr. Trump said, ” Michael Jackson was actually a very good friend of mine. I knew Michael Jackson very well. He lived in Trump Tower for a very long period of time. He would go down to Mar-A-Lago. He actually got married to Lisa Marie Presley. The whole big deal at Mar-A-Lago, they were in the tower and I would tell you that he was up there one week with her and he never came down so I don’t know what was going on but they got along. You know a lot of people say they really didn’t…..they were up there for a week and they never ever came down. I said where the heck is Michael? But he was a very talented guy. One of the most talented. I knew him very well. I knew the real story of Michael Jackson. You know when he died, I would watch people get on, I don’t want to mention names, but people that you know very well, people you interview, and they would talk about Michael Jackson and they didn’t even know him. Very few people got to know Michael Jackson. But he was an unbelievably talented guy who lost his confidence and he lost tremendous confidence because of honestly bad, bad, bad surgery. He had the worst. He had people who did numbers on him that were just unbelievable facially and you know the plastic surgeons. But Michael was an unbelievable talent  who actually lost his confidence. You know believe it or not, when you lose your confidence in something, you can even lose your talent.”

Mr. Trump stated this back in 1997 as well. See the video below.

Keith Hess

Well friends, looks like EPE has once again pulled in a great one! The Guesthouse at Graceland will have top shelf management and service. Now let’s work on the crime in the area and also hope it does not become like first class downtown hotels where ladies of the evening frequent especially during Elvis Week. It’s very offensive to women and families yet beyond obvious.

Advice to Mr. Hess, beyond your expertise, listen to Jack Soden and all the staff that has been there from day 1. They know the fans!  Recognize the faithful fans who come every year, save year round to be there, not just the hipster who will be there on a road trip and never again. We are your best customers! Elvis fans are the very best! We are not to be judged by anything but our loyalty to the king of Rock n Roll. Elvis was the best and we expect the best! Judging from your resume, we have gotten the best! Good luck and see you in October!

“The reality is I know as much about my grandpa as you’d know about a grandpa you never met,” she said.

“People always ask, ‘How crazy is it that your grandpa was Elvis and your stepdad was Michael Jackson?'” she tells Esquire magazine in its new March issue. “I make them happy and say, ‘Yeah, it’s soooo crazy!’ But actually, I don’t think about it, ever.”

The 26-year-old beauty says she’s far more interested in carving out her own legacy rather than simply be known for her ties to the King of Rock & Roll, who died a dozen years before she was born.

CMT will partner with “Hatfields & McCoys” producer Thinkfactory Media to produce a limited drama series that chronicles the rise of rock ‘n’ roll.

The premiere of the eight-episode scripted series, which will be based on the Tony Award-winning musical “Million Dollar Quartet,” will mark the 60th anniversary of the famed “Million Dollar Quartet” jam session that was recorded by Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins in Dec. 1956.

Set in the early days of Memphis’ Civil Rights era, the series will document the birth of rock ‘n’ roll and the rise of the genre’s pioneering musicians during periods of extensive political change and social unrest.

CMT and Thinkfactory Media will begin a nationwide casting search for the roles of young Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, BB King, Ike Turner, Carl Perkins and other supporting characters beginning Feb. 3, with auditions to be held at the historic Humes Preparatory Academy Middle School, Presley’s alma mater, on February 13.

“‘Million Dollar Quartet’ will capture the star-crossed Memphis moments which led to the most explosive pop culture movement of the 20th Century, the birth of Rock ‘n’ Roll,” said Brian Philips, CMT president. “The characters are all larger-than-life, so casting is a daunting challenge, but we’re counting on the magic of Memphis to come alive again! This is among our most ambitious projects ever, and we entrust it to a proven epic filmmaker, Leslie Greif.”

“We are thrilled to be working with CMT as they enter the scripted drama arena,” said Thinkfactory Media CEO and founder Leslie Greif, who will serve as an exec producer on the series. “At Thinkfactory Media, we pride ourselves in finding, developing and delivering products that fit the networks we work with, and ‘Million Dollar Quartet’ is perfectly suited for CMT because of its deep ties to country music and Nashville,” she said.

In addition to Greif, Jayson Dinsmore, Julia Silverton and “NCIS: Los Angeles’” Gil Grant will exec produce. Colin Escott is attached to produce.

The “Million Dollar Quartet” project is CMT’s second scripted series announced for 2016 — the network’s Billy Ray Cyrus-led ensemble comedy “Still the King” will premiere this summer.

Production for CMT’s “Million Dollar Project” adaptation is set to begin in Memphis this spring.
