On this day in Howard Stern History MARCH 30, 2005: LISA MARIE PRESLEY VISITS!
The Stern Show got a visit from rock royalty when Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis Presley, dropped by to talk to Howard.

Howard and Lisa discuss how the media twists issues. Before the camera is on, the reporter is so nice and once the camera is on, everything changes. They discuss Riley as a model, Michael Jackson, Nic Cage, Mike Edwards being a perv and Mama Bear Priscilla protecting her, marriage and more! Bobo calls in with some interesting questions and comments. Lisa admits Howard is better looking than Nic Cage! Lisa said Howard was sweet after the show.

This was Lisa’s last appearance on Stern. And she needs to return especially since Howard has become PC and soft. This is adult humor so if you are sensitive, you are warned!

Proud Mama, Priscilla Presley and her son Navarone Garibaldi talked to a photog about his band
THEM GUNS leaving a gig earlier this month.

Here’s a few things we learned from the interview:

Priscilla Presley bought him his first guitar at the age of 8. hmmmm…Sound familiar?

Navarone confesses to putting it down for a few years. Picking it back up at age 12 or 13. And started writing songs immediately!

He is inspired by Nine Inch Nails, Chemical Brothers, and everything from 60’s on.

He’d love to collaborate with Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails.

His goals? To play to as many people as possible and to get our music heard as far around the world as we can!

Towards the end, The photog askes Priscilla who is the bigger showman, Elvis or Trump?
Priscilla Presley, THE Classiest, most graceful celebrity handled this perfectly!

Navarone reminds me of a young Shane MacGowan of The Pogues. Navarone and his band, THEM GUNS are super talented and headed for a hugely successful career in music.Their music is unique.
This is a band to watch! They need to get booked on the Howard Stern show ASAP and play live! Howard and Robin would LOVE their sound!

Them Guns

On Friday night, Joel took the stage of FedExForum — playing his first local gig since 2001 — and the audience could not have been more emphatic or adoring, as the he sang, played and charmed his way through a two-hour-plus, 27-song concert. The show had the added distinction of breaking the Forum’s attendance record, previously held by Bon Jovi.

Joel — clad in a dark suit and sitting at a piano that rotated throughout the night — led an energetic nine-piece band through a set that was heavy on hits, but which also dug into the lesser-known corners of his catalog, and included a number of Memphis-centric digressions.

“Here I was playing in Memphis, in Elvis’ hometown,” continued Joel, reminiscing, as he played a snatch of the King’s “Suspicious Minds,” while donning pair of gold Elvis sunglasses and sideburns. Joel would work up several other Presley numbers in part or full, including “Don’t Be Cruel” and “Jailhouse Rock.”

Ozzy has been to Graceland before.

That’s updated to Graceland website today. So to be fair, this isn’t from Ozzy’s current visit. Either way, it’s disrespectful.
